Friday Find for Writers: Social Media Resources

Yesterday, I spent a wonderful afternoon at the Manhattanville College Summer Writers’ Week. My task was to deliver a presentation on “Social Media Strategies for Writers.” To complement the presentation (and to acknowledge the resources I’d found most helpful in constructing it), I prepared a handout (light on blogging/author website resources, since other sessions were tackling those areas). Keep reading if you want to take a look at the resources I shared.

    Hi Erika,
Thanks for your presentation at M’ville on Thursday. I am now on Twitter, following you, Jane Friedman, among other book and writing sources! Also going to revive my blog. You gave me courage 🙂

    1. Erika Dreifus says:

That’s wonderful, AmyG! Thanks for letting me know. Now I’m going to go look for you on Twitter.

  5. Many thanks for this list – I will use it for book number 2!!

    1. Erika Dreifus says:

      I’m glad, Caryn!

  6. Erika, this is wonderful. As a too-busy novelist/writing instructor in the DC area, social media and promotion often have to come last on my to-do list. So being efficient and effective is important. Your blog was and is very helpful to me, and I suspect to many others! Thanks! Now back to the WIP, due on my editor’s desk September 1. Geesh! Kathryn

    1. Erika Dreifus says:

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Kathryn. And good luck with that September 1 deadline!

  7. This is a great list Erika. I found my way here via the LinkedIn Group LinkEds & Writers. Seems apropos to find a list of social media resources through social media. Inadvertently, I recently started ghostwriting on social media platforms for several small businesses, so I’m eager to study these resources for tips I might apply in these jobs. I’m excited that I may have a new niche for my freelance writing and I’m excited about these resources. Thanks.

Thanks, Patricia, and welcome to the blog!
