Friday Find: Philip Levine Reading

Unfortunately, I was not in the audience back in October when U.S. Poet Laureate Philip Levine gave a reading (and participated in a Q&A session) with Nicole Cooley at Queens College of The City University of New York. Luckily, though, the event was recorded.

I’ve just had the pleasure of listening, and if you have time this weekend, you might, too.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone. See you back here on Monday.

After years of reading and writing, decades even, poetry crashed over me like a wave about a year ago. Out of nowhere, pow! What a gift I’ve been given. It’s like discovering a new room in a house I thought I knew. And of the contemporary poet-writers I’ve discovered, Philip Levine is at the top of my list–considering the mood of the day, of course. Thanks for this post.
