Sometimes I wonder about whether the emotions of people in real life are as overpowering as the emotions that come out in writing. When I read passages like “to hear the immense night, still more immense without her,” I question whether I am missing something and what experience it takes to have that sort of longing.
Maybe it’s better not to know….
