One Productive Day

I drafted four new poems in one day this past week!

(Okay, three of them were limericks–inspired by a contest listing I saw over on Cathy’s Comps & Calls.)

Still, I had a lot of fun writing them. And with the momentum generated by those limericks, I wrote a fourth poem–slightly longer–that also made use of rhyme in a way that I haven’t for decades.

I’ll be sure to let you know if ANY of those poems progresses to publication. Meantime, here’s a nifty end-rhyme generator that I discovered while doing all of that poem-ing.

It may be my imagination (or my Twitter feed), but it seems as though we’ve been graced with an unusual flurry of literary “scandals” lately. Part of me wants to say something about one or the other of them.

But then a mix of feelings descends upon me which may be most aptly summarized as follows:
