Friday Finds for Writers

Writing-related resources, news, and reflections to enjoy over the weekend.

  • “What It Means to Be a Writer—and to Emerge as a Writer”—guest post by Albert Flynn DeSilver on Jane Friedman’s site.
  • “Put too many coincidences in a story, or make them too blatant, and you’re asking for that ‘yeah, right’ response.”—a craft tip from Michael Kurland on The Writer‘s website.
  • On MediaBistro.com, Taffy Brodesser-Akner, freelancer-turned-New York Times staffer, answers questions about her career.
  • This isn’t exactly breaking news, but Douglas Preston has summarized the situation of Amazon’s “gray market” as clearly as I’ve seen anyone do it.
  • And if it’s Friday, you’ll find new links (primarily of the #JewLit variety) over on My Machberet.
  • Have a good weekend!

    1. Hi Erica
I wrote movie script about Holocaust in Poland. Do you could give me any advise how I can promote it to producers? I know that I have to create logline and Synopsis. And I have to sent script to contests.

      PS
Thanks for you hard work. How many hours are you working a day? 25 hours?

So sorry, but scripts are outside my area of expertise.
