Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer
Party Time!
I attended a lovely event yesterday evening celebrating the new issue of Lilith magazine—and the Jewish holiday of Sukkot—over at Sutton Place Synagogue in New York. Here’s a view of the roof of the congregation’s sukkah shortly before sunset.
#AmReading
A shoutout for Gabrielle Zevin’s latest novel, Young Jane Young, which I’m reading at the moment and enjoying immensely.
Some Good (If Vague) News
So, at the risk of vague-tweeting, I feel moved to share some CHEERY newish Jewish news. Two very collaborative projects in the pipeline. +

There’s so much to anguish over at the moment. It’s good to have some cheery things going on—even if I’m not quite broadcasting the details.
Great sukkah photo, Erika! Mazal Tov on the new projects! Thanks for the book tip; I enjoyed The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry and have added Zevin’s new novel to my wish list.
I’m definitely interested in reading more of her work now.
