Do you use Trello to organize your writing projects? I’ve bookmarked this article by Danielle Corcione and am considering giving Trello a try. (The article is from 2016, but I happened to encounter it this week–just as I was feeling exceptionally overwhelmed.)

Wow, Erika, you reminded me of one MFA program I courted before making a final decision. UTEP. I stayed with relatives there and met with faculty and some MFA students in 1997. It was when I almost missed my flight back home and arranged for a visit to Mills College that solidified the decision for me.

I’ve been using a tool similar to Trello for managing my various writing to-dos for many years – KanbanFlow. For the most part, it really does help me stay on task – and not forget opportunities such as contests that are coming up.

I’ve actually been using Trello for the last couple of months because I’m one of about five TAs for an editor who is teaching online courses about writing and pitching to lit mags. I’ve never thought about using Trello for personal projects, but I can definitely see how it would work. It’s incredibly easy to move around in and organize things, and for those of us Type As who crave order in our universes it’s just the thing. :>
