Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick things (and a scheduling note):

1. My latest Jewish Chronicle column was published last week just ahead of the Shavuot holiday. (What’s Shavuot? That question is basically at the heart of the essay.)

2. I’ve been spending time over the past several days preparing a paper for presentation at an upcoming conference. (The paper is essentially carved out from a chapter I wrote for this book, which is now available in paperback.)

3. And speaking of the conference: I’ll be heading there tomorrow and returning early next week. So there will be a brief blogging hiatus here. Thanks for your patience!
