Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer
Three quick things.
1. THANK YOU
Seriously. I did NOT expect the absolutely immense outpouring of congratulations that followed last week’s announcement. THANK YOU ALL.
Before I sink into the all-but-certain mire of whatever is today's news, I want to share something HAPPY: an announcement about my first poetry collection, BIRTHRIGHT, which will be published in the fall. https://t.co/ICR5d6CoUh pic.twitter.com/zYNznBnKmV

2. My To-Do List
You’d think that I’d be focusing above all else on editing/preparing the manuscript for production this summer. But, no! I’m frankly busier with other things, such as arranging for a new headshot (photo shoot: booked!) and using this occasion to refresh/re-design my website (answers to my designer’s questionnaire: in progress!). But don’t worry: I know what’s most important, and I won’t neglect what’s at the heart of this endeavor: THE MANUSCRIPT.
3. In the Meantime
In the meantime, I’m delighted to report that one of the heretofore unpublished poems in the collection has found a home. It’s an especially timely poem for the upcoming Passover holiday, and it is scheduled to be published late next week. I’ll keep you all posted!
This is all very exciting. מזל טוב!
Thank you!
