I think that the book I saw people mentioning most often on Twitter this week has to be On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, Ocean Vuong’s new novel. It’s absolutely on my tbr list—but for the moment, I’m making do with author profiles by Kat Chow and Kevin Nguyen.

I’ll admit that I initially put off reading Allison K. Williams’s “The Death of a Writer,” in which Williams shares her thoughts about serving as a beloved friend’s literary executor. But I’ve now read it, and I’ve bookmarked it to return to the practical suggestions that it includes for all of us who will be leaving behind a literary legacy.
There have been some lively responses to the account I shared earlier this week regarding what’s happening with an anthology project—it’s not too late to add your comments.

Thanks for the link to Allison K. Williams’ piece, purely for its link to Matt Knight’s piece on Sidebar Saturdays. I’ve been trying to figure out the whole literary executor issue for over a year, and my main issue is the lack of anyone who could actually *be* my literary executor. But at least now I’ve got a list of things I need to sort out paperwork-wise for my non-existent executor.
