Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick things:

1. This week brought the latest printed version of my poetry manuscript, Birthright. (Thanks, Staples!) I’m continuing to revise (and proof my revisions) ahead of an ever-nearing deadline.

2. This week also brought a lot of paperwork that ultimately produced this ID card:

Introducing the newest Adjunct Assistant Professor to join the Department of English at Baruch College of The City University of New York.

Now: to finish designing the course that I’ll be teaching this fall (“21st-Century Jewish Literature”).

3. And reading an article online this weekend prompted me to revisit a seminar paper I wrote a long, long time ago. I’m still impressed with myself for coming up with its title.

Cover page of seminar paper: "A la recherche du rang perdu."
Translation: “In Search of Lost Status.”
