Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick updates from my desk.

  1. This past week brought a more-than-typically-disappointing rejection. I’ve rebounded nonetheless, and I’m remaining hopeful about the project.
  2. Something new: This week also brought my first foray into a virtual “coworking” session for writers. I logged into a Zoom room where about a dozen of us briefly introduced ourselves, explained what we’d spend the next 75 minutes or so working on, and went right to work, checking in with each other at the session’s end. I liked it! I’m planning to return.
  3. Every issue of my monthly newsletter for writers seems like an achievement, so if you’ve missed it, please let me share it with you! The August issue went out to subscribers last Friday.

  1. Erika,
Was the co-working session the one with Allison K. Williams or something else?

      Yes, it was Allison’s!

  2. I’ve been meaning to tap into that, but others things keep getting in the way, and when the semester starts, that’s the end of tapping into much of anything.

Chin up. Continue to share and thrive.

    It’s what you do. :]
