Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer
Three quick updates.
1. We’re back (both the blog and I, that is!). After a whirlwind “heritage trip” to Germany shared with about 30 descendants of a couple who married at the end of the eighteenth century—a trip that I do hope to write about!—I am back at my desk, where, among other things, my students’ final papers await.
2. Disappointed that my application to Picture Book Summer Camp was rejected. (That news arrived yesterday.) “We received an unprecedented number of applications for this program and we are planning additional opportunities for all who applied.”
3. Buoyed, however, by my latest freelance commission. I look forward to sharing more about that in due course.
