Jewish Literary Links

Toward the end of each week, the My Machberet blog presents a collection of links, drawn primarily from the world of Jewish books and writing.
- This week has brought us the November Jewish Book Carnival, hosted for the month by Marie Cloutier at BostonBibliophile.com,
- Via Twitter: “After many months of labor, it’s live! I’m thrilled to announce the publication of issue 1 of @gashmiusmag, a new publication dedicated to an accessible and progressive vision of Jewish mysticism.” Note: Welcomes submissions; nonpaying venue (for now).
- Also via Twitter: “queer jewish writers! i am looking for hanukkah content for @autostraddle. this can be servicey or a personal essay or a secret third thing! plz pitch me: vanessa [at] autostraddle [dot] com. READ THE THREAD FOR DETAILS.” (Pay rates: $100-$150; hat tip to Hannah Bae.)
- The Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) has issued a call for applications to join the Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee (these are volunteer positions). Deadline: December 12.
- And, just to remind you: #JewishBookMonth begins tomorrow!
Shabbat shalom.
