#SundaySentence
Every weekend I participate in David Abrams’s “#SundaySentence” project, sharing the best sentence I’ve read during the past week, “out of context and without commentary.”
She watches as they float out into the world, their destination unknown.

(I’m going to break the “rules” here and say that page 204 of this book, where this sentence appears, is one of the best pages I’ve read not just during the past week, but quite possibly ever. But, as with many sentences I’ve chosen in the past, the page’s “best”-ness stems not only from its discrete crafting. Rather, its power also stems from the sentences, or pages, that have come before it. Which sometimes makes the “out of context and without commentary” rule exceedingly challenging for me!)
