1. At the moment, it feels as though I’m bouncing from one writing project to another—and not always making a whole lot of progress in/completing any of them. But maybe I’ll have a more sanguine outlook next week!

1. Cover (and pub date) reveal! I have work appearing in two forthcoming anthologies. Not long ago I shared the cover reveal for one of them (The Best of Brevity: Twenty Groundbreaking Years of Flash Nonfiction).

1. Good news: The online kidlit (picture book) class that I mentioned last week kicked off yesterday. Less-good news: I’m already behind! I was just so swamped yesterday that I didn’t get to check in with the first lesson at all. Hoping to make up for that lost time a bit today.

1. So, it turned out that the lottery gods didn’t look favorably on my attempt to gain a spot in an online flash-fiction class. But, almost immediately, a pal reached out and mentioned that she’d been following my kidlit updates. She recommended an online picture-book course that I might try, and I am! That class starts next week.
