Recommended Reading (and a Quick Favor)

If you follow me on social media, you may have seen that among my #NewsletterRecs (for newsletters focused on matters bookish and/or Jewish), I’ve often mentioned the Jewish Insider “Daily Kickoff” email. (If I appear to be well-informed about Jewish news, the “Daily Kickoff” deserves a lot of the credit.)

In its own words,

Jewish Insider (JI) covers U.S. politics, philanthropy and business news with a Jewish angle.

What We’re About: We are here to bring you new ideas and information. We’re not advocacy news. We’re not here to confirm your views or challenge your beliefs.

JI delivers a curated morning newsletter, the Daily Kickoff, which provides an overview of the news, buzz and stories that matter. The Daily Kickoff is distributed on weekday mornings.

And now, they’ve launched an “ambassador” program. I’m aiming to earn the top reward of an invitation to meet the JI staff for coffee. To make that happen, I ask any of you who may be interested to sign up to receive the free newsletter yourself by USING THIS LINK, which credits me for the referral.

Thank you so much! (Whether you’ve subscribed already or may be about to do so!)

    Hi Erika,
Twice I’ve signed up using your link, twice the JI page said “success” and instructed me to wait for a confirmation email. Twice I’ve waited, and twice I’ve waited in vain. It’s not showing up in my junk or spam folders. I just went to JI and signed up on their home page, and wasn’t given a message about a confirmation email. You may want to check with JI and see if their links are working properly. I can always unsubscribe and then re-subscribe so you get credit. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks, Adrienne. I’m not sure what to tell you about the confirmation email. I did hear from one other person about a similar issue. I’ll try to check in from this end. The main thing is that you’re subscribed. Thank you for all your efforts!
