If you’re looking for some new magazine markets to investigate, you might want to surf on over to Mr. Magazine’s blog.
Last month, the venerable Mr. Magazine and his staff announced the 30 Most Notable Launches of 2007 (actually, 31, but I’ll leave you to read about that). Since then, the blog has devoted a considerable amount of space to profiling the notable picks in a recurrent “Seven Questions and Answers” feature with the magazines’ editors and/or publishers.
These features–and the entire list, actually–could be a good source for market research, though those pesky little details that writers worry about, such as pay rates and rights purchased, aren’t included. Still, certainly worth a look for anyone interested in the magazine biz.
