Sunday Sentence

In which I participate in David Abrams’s “Sunday Sentence” project, which asks us to share the best sentence(s) we’ve read during the past week, “out of context and without commentary.”

“You never got what you wanted; you just learned to get by without it.”

  1. Actually I love very much the title of Celeste’s forthcoming novel and the simple cover too. The words speak for themselves.

    • It’s so interesting that you say that about the title, Marlena. I spent some time yesterday thinking about the title and its possible meanings: who (which character or characters) might be saying the phrase, what has not been told, and so on. And I agree about the cover, too. Lovely.
