  • Application deadline extended to July 18 for the Poets & Writers Galen Williams Fellowship Program. “Three part-time, paid positions are available in our New York City office. Fellowships positions are best suited to a graduate student or an individual who has recently completed a graduate degree; however, other qualified and motivated candidates will also be considered. Each fellow will work twenty hours per week for ten months (September 2014 through June 2015), providing valuable support as well as fresh insight and creativity to our team. In turn, Poets & Writers will provide a comprehensive apprenticeship in one of three program areas.”
  • “Bustle is seeking a freelance news writer to help fill its news vertical with intelligent, thoughtful content. The writer will be paid a daily stipend, and will be expected to produce roughly 4-5 posts per shift. We’re especially looking for a writer with a flexible schedule who is interested in covering nights and weekends.” Remote location or work from the Brooklyn office.

Whether you’re into crafting or cooking, fashion or design, comic books or movies… as long as you love writing about your passions with the occasional bookish slant, there’s a place for you here on the blog! And yes, we do pay bloggers for their posts!”

These are one-year positions and carry a teaching load of three courses per quarter. Candidates should be prepared to teach creative writing workshops, particularly fiction, for the undergraduate Creative Writing program and Master’s in Writing and Publishing Program, along with general education literature courses. Secondary expertise in other genres and areas (poetry, nonfiction, publishing, editing) is also desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience. Position carries full benefits.”
