Monday Markets for Writers: No Fees, Paying Gigs
Monday brings the weekly batch of no-fee competitions/contests, paying submission calls, and jobs for those of us who write (especially those of us who write fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction).
The Harriet Beecher Stowe Prize “is awarded biennially to a United States author whose written work makes an impact on a critical social issue in the tradition of Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin.The Stowe Prize is presented at the Stowe Center’s Big Tent Jubilee, a fundraising event traditionally held in June, following Real Stories of Social Change, a free public program featuring the Prize winner and other activists. Recognition also includes a $10,000 award.” Nomination deadline (self-nominations are acceptable): September 8, 2014. No fee indicated.
