Sunday Sentence

I have also been to Shea Stadium in section 3,
right behind home plate, with my father
who knows how to say Ma Nishtana
with the Upper West Side inflection,
the inflection of an accountant who works so hard
his bones disintegrate into the 1040 form
ripped into shards of glass
scattered across the Brooklyn Queens Expressway
at midnight.
