AJL Conference Dispatch

So, as you may recall, I recently attended the annual conference of the Association of Jewish Libraries. I went there to represent Fig Tree Books, so much of my time was spent in the AJL equivalent of the AWP Bookfair. Here’s a snapshot of the FTB table.


But I managed to sneak away and sit in on just a few of the panels. Including one that featured some expert book reviewers and book-review editors sharing book-reviewing tips. You can see my summary of that session over on the Fig Tree Books blog.

“Maiden Names” and My Latest Published Poem

People have been talking (on my Twitter and Facebook channels, at least) about a New York Times article about “maiden names.” Which reminds me that I have not yet shared my latest published poem, “Beautiful Enough,” part of the wonderful “All About My Name” series that’s currently running over on the Silver Birch Press site.
