Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick things:

  • The May issue of The Practicing Writer did go out on schedule; YahooGroups seemed to have some problem with delivering it (and apparently, other groups have encountered similar problems). In any case, the issue can be consulted right here on ErikaDreifus.com. So go and check it out, if you haven’t already!
  • Mix baseball, music, and politics and you get my latest published poem: “Wherever You’ve Gone, Joe DiMaggio” is now up as part of the Alyss “Pop Culture” issue.
  • Book publicists can’t always make authors’ dreams come true. (Alas.) But I’m happy to have helped turn at least one of Lisa Romeo’s wishes into a reality. Congratulations again to Lisa on yesterday’s official publication of her lovely debut book Starting with Goodbye: A Daughter’s Memoir of Love After Loss (University of Nevada Press).
