Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Just one quick thing this week.

I know—you’ve come to expect THREE items in these posts. I apologize. Things are busier than ever, and I seem to be working on a number of projects that just don’t lend themselves to quick and public summaries.

BUT, I do have something that I’m glad to share: a poem of mine, “Fighting Words,” was republished yesterday on the 929 website, which focuses on a chapter of the Hebrew Bible (Tanach) each day. Yesterday’s chapter was Deuteronomy 20, which is what inspired the poem (along with some other text study).

(The poem was originally published in The Hollins Critic.)
