Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer
Three quick things.
1. I am pleased to be able to share my review of Julie Orringer’s The Flight Portfolio which you’ll find on a wonderful new website that focuses, as its name suggests, on Reading Jewish Fiction.

2. You know how we’re sometimes moved to buy/read a book based on a review? Right now, thanks to Anthony Lane’s review in The New Yorker, I’m trying to find a time to catch the film “Monsieur Klein” (“Mr. Klein”) in a New York City theater during its limited-run engagement. (For the second time—I saw it many years ago as an undergraduate.)
3. And around this time of year, I often share anew my essay “The Twin Towers: A Personal History in Four Parts.”
A fantastic review, Erika. Thank you for teasing out the many contentious threads from this book.
I so appreciate that comment, Lisa. Thank you.
Thanks so much for sharing Twin Towers essay Erika. It’s always nice to hear personal stories about 9/11.
Thanks very much, April (also for the share on Twitter).
