Sunday Sentence

Every weekend I participate in David Abrams’s “#SundaySentence” project, sharing the best sentence I’ve read during the past week, “out of context and without commentary.”

One day he would not be recently divorced, but he would never forget those questions, the way people pretended to care for him while they were really asking after themselves.

Good sentence, but I stopped reading the book after almost 100 pages. I know it’s received rave reviews, but I found it almost offensive. All those women’s obscene pictures on-line? And I didn’t like Fleishman at all. Maybe I should have kept on reading it? Just couldn’t do it! (one friend did tell me she was glad she’d kept reading the book, but felt “nauseous” at the end.)

I’m a fan of Taffy and her journalism–not yet up to page 100 (it’s been a busy week), but giving it a shot!

I like her journalism too, which is why I bought the book. Is your new book best available from Amazon?

Not yet! It will be there in November, and also available on the Kelsay Books website. https://kelsaybooks.com/
