#SundaySentence

Every weekend I participate in David Abrams’s “#SundaySentence” project, sharing the best sentence I’ve read during the past week, “out of context and without commentary.”

Use as an example the idea of instructions as a prompt, explain that someone—a writer you admire—originally wrote a story (several stories, actually) that took the form of instructions, or a how-to (avoid naming her name, for the sake of propriety).

Against a plain background, the hashtag #SundaySentence appears.
