#SundaySentence

Every weekend I participate in David Abrams’s “#SundaySentence” project, sharing the best sentence I’ve read during the past week, “out of context and without commentary.”

Jewish food is just as orange and purple and green and blue as it is brown and gray and white, which many people woefully assume is the crux of Jewish food—based on a food space somewhere between the food of the tenements and the hechshered (rabbinically approved) processed foods of the nuclear era.
