Sol was a singular man whose passion for purpose, innate optimism, moral compass, quiet dignity and irrepressible memory proved inspiring to his family, his shul, his museum, and so many others.

Yes, I’ve read this before, many times. But I reread it this week because I was teaching it. And as my students noted, this is a powerful line.
