Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

I’ll be quick this week:

1. The past several days have brought some above-average frustration levels with some of my freelance writing. (I’ll leave it at that.)

2. On the plus side: I’ve received and accepted a speaking invitation for a conference that is scheduled for next November. This is exciting! Details tk.

3. I’ve been busy at work on the February issue of The Practicing Writer, which will go out to subscribers next week. (Believe it or not, this issue will mark the beginning of the 15th year of the newsletter’s existence!)

4. And the other day (January 19) I observed the anniversary of the publication of Quiet Americans; seven years post-publication, I’m still offering donations from my sales earnings to The Blue Card.

What’s new with your writing practice?
