Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick updates from my desk.

1. I’ve updated my events page to include something that’s happening tomorrow.

2. Woke up the other day to discover another online-pitch event unfolding on Twitter. I joined in, and that participation yielded one agent’s signal to contact her. So, I have, and now, I’m waiting for a response.

3. New-podcast alert. Once upon a time, much of what I read and wrote about involved modern French history, particularly the history of les annees noires, 1940-44. I’m not saying that I should be a guest on this new podcast all about the series A French Village. But I am saying that Benjamin Wittes’s commentary, in particular, impresses me. (Unfortunately, I do not [yet] see a transcript available for this podcast.) I should have watched the series long ago; I’m now aiming to keep up with the podcast’s cover-two-episodes-each-week pace.
