Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick updates from my desk.

1. Working hard on preparing my presentation for my upcoming seminar on publishing Jewish short stories and poems. At last check (yesterday), enrollment was just about at capacity. But if you’re interested in running another version of the program for your group/center, please be in touch!

2. Spent some time yesterday responding to journalist questions about The Practicing Writer for an upcoming magazine feature on newsletters. I appreciated the chance to reflect on the questions, and I’m looking forward to reading the finished piece.

3. The Jewish holiday of Shavuot began Sunday night (it’s over now). Tablet magazine re-upped a few of my poems in the package of articles they assembled for the occasion. If you haven’t yet read them, you can find them here (and, yes, in Birthright).
