Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer
Three quick updates from my desk.
- This week brought another rejection for a flash story that I’ve been sending around. But I also sent it to still another publication. Statistics so far: 12 rejections, 11 places where it’s still “received,” “in-progress,” or otherwise under consideration.
- The week also brought publication of this new piece of mine about Israel-infused Jewish kidlit.
- And I hope that I’ll be seeing some of you at this weekend’s Jewish Book Council Jewish Writers Seminar for Adult Readers.

Your submission statistics are impressive, Erika. I have not submitted for more than a year (Slacker!), but you continue to inspire us all to action. I read all your blog notes and appreciate all your encouragement and support. I have been ill, but that’s hardly an excuse.
