Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick updates from my desk.

1. Two evenings ago I had the chance to talk all things writing-and-publishing with another writer over a delicious meal outdoors (thankfully, with a roof above us during a dinnertime downpour). Bonus: discovering a Manhattan restaurant that I hope to return to.

2. Making progress—slowly—with preparing for the new semester and the next iteration of my “Holocaust Literature” course. Something I’m spending a lot of time mulling over and researching: switching up the writing assignments.

3. Happy to have received my subscriber copy of the new issue of Moment magazine, which includes a print version of my latest online article. Here’s a glimpse of the first page (of three).

first page of the article "Jewish Children's Literature: Beyond the Holocaust and Holidays."
an open spiral notebook with a pen resting on a blank page, plus a text label that reads, "Midweek Notes."
