I returned Sunday evening from an absolutely wonderful week in Vermont, where I was a first-time attendee at the Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA) Postgraduate Writers Conference. This was one of my all-time best conference experiences. (And in a later post, or perhaps in a freelance piece if I can get any editor[s] interested, I’ll say more about why that’s so.)

As you’ll recall, my year of blogging for Poetry Has Value reached its end a number of months ago. But that doesn’t mean I can’t continue to share my poetry submission stats with you. So here’s the report for the month of July.

Also, if you’re new to these posts, it may be helpful for you to know that I work very hard to submit my work mainly to paying venues that don’t charge fees for journal/website publication. Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Whew. It has been a busy time!

There’s been freelance writing. Preparation for next month’s writing conference (icymi: I’ll be attending as a student, to do some more work on my full-length poetry manuscript). My “summer-school” immersion in Hebrew study. Weekend-long gatherings (two weekends ago: high-school friends; this past weekend: college classmates). An array of other events dotting my calendar.
