Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick things.

1. I am feeling so much better! No more fever! No more aches! Yay! (With a bit more luck my cough will have subsided even more by the time of my first Birthright event on Sunday.)

2. Yes, I’m still madly trying to catch up on everything that fell by the wayside last week. But at least my classes are back on schedule. Speaking of: Yesterday, I introduced the class to the work of Eduardo Halfon—with a little help from this excellent interview with Halfon (and two of his Spanish-to-English translators) in the fall issue of The Massachusetts Review.

3. And in the latest rejection news: didn’t get a grant I’d applied for. Alas.
