Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick updates from my desk.

1. Another excellent critique-group meeting in the books. I received some good suggestions to put to use with a new kidlit project I’m starting while I continue to wait for a response on one that’s out with a publisher.

2. Teaching is going well (so far!).

3. Looking forward to a reading I’m taking part in over the weekend. I’m going to read just a few poems from Birthright. (It’s not something that’s being advertised to the public, so I haven’t put it up on my Events calendar.)

an open spiral notebook with a pen resting on a blank page, plus a text label that reads, "Midweek Notes."

I often hold off reading the magazine articles until the print issue arrives over the weekend, but perhaps I’ll need to make an exception here, since I *love* semicolons!
