Midweek Notes from a Practicing Writer

Three quick updates from my desk.

1. As of this week, contributor copies of both new anthologies containing my work have arrived!

Copies of THE BEST OF BREVITY and 101 JEWISH POEMS FOR THE THIRD MILLENNIUM.

2. Although my 2019 book didn’t place, I’d intended to celebrate the winners and finalists at the National Jewish Book Awards annual ceremony last March.

Then, of course, COVID-19 happened.

But the event was re-imagined—and rescheduled. It will happen tomorrow evening, virtually.

And thanks to the Jewish Book Council’s thoughtful package, which arrived yesterday, I’ve got my snacks ready!

I’m a little bit collage-challenged, so apologies for an incomplete view of the marzipan lollipops!

3. At this time of year I find myself re-upping one of my short stories. Here, I explain why.
