I find every episode of the Shalom Hartman Institute’s “For Heaven’s Sake” podcast to be essential listening (and yes, there are transcripts). But I haven’t stopped thinking about the latest episode since hearing it.
This discussion between Donniel Hartman and Yossi Klein Halevi, which tackles “the state of moral discourse in Israel, international criticism of the war, and the troubling relationship between victimhood and brutality,” hits on some of the most emotionally sensitive elements of my own post-October 7 experience. (I guess my heart truly is in the East).
